Rubber Umbrella
To demonstrate how the Inventables Marketplace can be used to inspire new product innovations, we brainstormed and created renderings for some new product concepts. Each of the concepts takes a unmet need and marries it with a material or technology found in the marketplace.
The umbrella uses an elegant mechanism to create a canopy that would be more durable and easier to manufacture than a conventional umbrella. This is made possible using super-elastic plastic and nitinol wire.
