To solve this problem we are building an accessible, online catalog that will allow anyone to discover and purchase small quantities of unique or previously hard-to-find materials. In so doing, we seek to democratize the practice of materials research, streamline the process of innovation, and inspire everyone—regardless of profession—to explore what’s possible.

We believe if more people explored what’s possible rather than going with the status quo, we’d have more companies like Apple, Google, and Boston Scientific giving birth to new products that improve people’s lives. If we succeed, our online store will change the world forever, not only because it levels the playing field, but because people will believe they can find new and better solutions to problems they didn’t even realize existed.
