Inventables brings new manufacturing facility online to address rising demand for orders

2/27/2003 – Chicago, IL3boxwhite

Inventables recently brought a new manufacturing facility online to help meet the rising demand for orders of the DesignAid subscription service. DesignAid is the world’s first service to provide information on new technology by sending physical samples, a printed Design Guide, and an online database. DesignAid was developed for industrial designers and engineers interested in learning about new materials and technologies to differentiate their products and continually innovate.

The facility is located in Chicago and now enables Inventables to handle larger order volume, ship orders faster, and maintain high quality standards.

About Inventables:
Inventables helps new product developers innovate. It publishes a quarterly advanced-materials portfolio, called DesignAid, that covers provocative materials and technologies like liquid metal, gel magnets, and intelligent rope plus their possible applications. Actual samples of every item come packaged with the magazine to help spark creative new product ideas. Corporate design teams look to DesignAid to learn about new materials, manufacturing processes, and electrical mechanical components that will spur ideas for new products. A few customers include Herman Miller (Nasdaq: MLHR), Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ), BMW (BMWG.DE), NIKE (NYSE: NKE), Procter & Gamble (NYSE: PG), and Black & Decker (NYSE: BDK).
